I bought this very recently but in actual fact I have two of them, well I think I have. The one with the green base is clearly a genuine SEL as it has the badge and is in standard colour. Some years ago I found another one but the colours are quite different and there is no badge to say who the manufacturer was. So either someone has taken an SEL 1540 and resprayed it or SEL supplied this model via a different company. I have included pictures of both below and would welcome comment. The green based one has a detached steam pipe, which I need to re-solder at some point, and the gold paint has been removed. I have no plans to do a major resoration on this as it is really too good to do that to it.
