Although I do not have pictures of this roller in it's original state I can vouch for the fact that it was a 'bit of a rust bucket' when I got it. I did a complete stripdown and respray, polished the bare-metal parts and bought a new chrome firebox and scuttle. The burner I picked up somewhere along the way. The result is fairly pleasing with the exception of the reverse level which I just painted silver, one of these days I will either replace it or maybe clean the it up. Having read some other collectors website I'm slightly ashamed of the fact that I'm scared to run my models on steam so this year I'm determined to al least run this one.
