My first engine, for I think Christmas when I was about 10, was a MM1. The smallest and cheapest in the range; money was tight back then. I guess it took a lot of excessive use and misuse in those days but the good news is that I still have it. All the rest of the engines are restorations acquired in recent years.


MM1 Was a childhood toy unrestored condition except that the base has been repainted at some time.
The SE2A was an early project purchased from ebay which I restored some years ago. I am much better at it now and it probably needs a few things re-doing.
This SE2 is absolutely brilliant having so many old features which Mamod changed in their later production run. I know it is a mid fifties engine and I am sure an expert would be able to date it fairly precisely by it's features. For the moment I can only guess.
