Bowman Engines
These are old engines presumably bought for children with middle class parents since the ordinary rank and file would not have been able to afford such quality toys. These days they are all highly collectable with the ones you see below costing a considerable sum when compared with my Mamod collection. They are truly delightful engines and I suspect this portion of the website is set to grow, funds permitting

If you need Bowman Parts then have a look on my new dedicated Steam Parts site www.mamodparts.com/spares-Bowman_Parts.asp

This was the cheapest purchase as it was in quite poor state with bits missing. It is still missing the gears although I do have plans to sort that.
I always feel guilty when I pay the sort of money I paid for this M135 but always convince myself that it will never fall in value and, if recent increases are to continue, should actually appreciate.
I finally bowed to the inevitable and bought a railway engine Bowman 234. Yes I am now known as an anorack but I'm also past caring. This really is a lovely engine and I suspect it will not be my last, already digging up the grass for the garden railway....

This Bowman Luton PW202 is quite a rare model apparently, but this particular one is in need of quite a bit of work including a new piston and cylinder. We have the technology Varsprung durk technik ( 'scuse spelling !)
